Introducing... - Dylza - 21-06-2021 I am proud to present to you, our newest league - HBANZ Super League!
Besides bringing some brand new ideas to the table, this league will finally fill the competitive 4v4 Big Easy void in Australian/Asian Haxball. Stay tuned for more details and sign ups opening in the coming days... RE: Introducing... - fank009 - 21-06-2021 #coupwhen RE: Introducing... - Chad - 21-06-2021 Why 4v4 Big Easy? I thought you were against busball, and 4v4 promotes this even more than 3v3. Will you be implementing any changes to the map, ball, etc? How will you compete with the current 3v3 League and its 23 ssn/10yr history and tradition, or will both Leagues work in mutual collaboration? Hi Chad, thanks for your post. Let me address your questions one by one. - Why 4v4 Big Easy? Whilst your point may be valid, I believe that high level 4v4 with good players presents an extremely different experience to that of 3v3. Good teams who can pass well and hold the correct formation will generally get through a strong "bus" style defence. I don't think this will be a problem, especially in the early seasons when players are still learning how to defend properly as a team. The other reason for 4v4 Big Easy is that I have a vision for the Super League to take HBANZ on to a world stage. Whilst the 3v3 League has been great fun for so many of us over the years, if we're being realistic, our 3v3 League doesn't mean much on a world scale because the rest of the world plays 4v4 Big Easy in competition. I can't reveal any details just yet but just know that in an upcoming announcement, I will have more details on how exactly the HBANZ Super League will put HBANZ on a world stage. - Will you be implementing any changes to the map? At this stage, no. The league will be played on 4v4 Big Easy so it remains on par with the world meta. - How will you compete with the current 3v3 League? There is no competition. I will do my best to avoid clashes with the current 3v3 League and the HBANZ Premier League. I think there is enough room in the community for all 3 leagues to thrive alongside one another. What I will say on this topic though, is there has been a lot of negativity and drama lately surrounding the 3v3 League which has really detracted from people's enjoyment and as such, I'd like all that be left there. The HBANZ Super League is an all inclusive league that welcomes everyone from all corners of HBANZ and around the world and we will strive to build a positive and respectful environment in our league that everyone can enjoy. Thanks for your questions Chad and I'm happy to answer any more that anyone may have. I'm currently working on many exciting ideas for this league and will have another announcement soon. RE: Introducing... - deloving - 23-06-2021 Just wondering how someone who is not an admin (and didn't sign up for the recent admin vote) can start a side league with HBANZ in the name. (I guess same goes for RS league lol) I'm happy about a 4v4 league, but just seems odd. RE: Introducing... - Maxie - 23-06-2021 Hey Dylza, Thanks for taking the initiative. If you don't mind I have a number of questions. Is there any plan for what dates the season will take place and how long will you provide for signups? How does this affect real soccer and how long will both seasons be? Finally, how many teams are you aiming for and what are you planning for in terms of draft format? Kind regards, Maxie RE: Introducing... - EBUS - 23-06-2021 A member of HBANZ has dug up this post from only a few months ago, this member will remain unnamed for their own safety.
