HBANZ.org has developed HaxBot™ for use in the main Chatango (hbanzorg.chatango.com). The following does not apply to the HaxBot™ running trivia games.

Please use this thread to provide any suggestions on features or commands that you would like HaxBot™ to perform.


HaxBot™ moderators as of this post (can only be changed by an admin):

- Winkys
- vxi
- dopesayo
- Kumaaa
- Dylza7

Commands for all users:

- /help (or /commands): displays the current commands
- /mods: displays the chat moderators
- /users: displays the users online in the chat
- /whitelist: displays a list of the white-listed users

Commands for white-listed users:

- /curve: searches a user's Curve Fever page and displays their rankings (e.g. /curve squida)
- /flip: flips a specified number of coins and prints the outcomes (e.g. /flip 100). If no number of flips is specified, the bot will flip one coin.
- /image (or /gi): searches Google Images for an image (e.g. /image haxball).
- /insult: retrieves a random insult and directs it at a username you specify (e.g. /insult july)
- /keywords: searches a user's posts on HBANZ.org for their top 15 most commonly used terms (e.g. /keywords kuma)
- /messages: searches a user's recorded Chatango history (as of 07/01/2015) for their top 15 most commonly used terms (e.g. /messages winkys)
- /movie: Searches a film and returns its information (e.g. /movie king kong (1933))
- /ud: searches Urban Dictionary for a definition (e.g. /ud yolo)
- /weather: searches and displays the weather conditions for a city (e.g. /weather melbourne)
- /whois: displays matching IP addresses from users who have send at least one message in the chat (e.g. /whois haxbot)
- /yt: searches YouTube for a video (e.g. /yt cute kittens)

Commands for mods only:

- /bl: black-list a user to prevent them from using the above features (e.g. /bl haxbot)
- /wl: white-list a user to allow them to use the above features (e.g. /wl haxbot)


HaxBot™ can also be used for trivia, but this will be run in a separate chat (haxtrivia.chatango.com). Future features that may be included in the future:

- Automatically change "https" to "http" for embedding (no longer required in html5 chat)
- Simple Google and Google Image search
- Questions are asked and users may answer them (done)
- HaxBot™ states the answer when a question is skipped (done)
- HaxBot™ skips the question when 5 or more users say "skip" (not required)
- HaxBot™ records the total number of questions each user has answered correctly (done)
- State when HaxBot™ is closed

cool. this is a good add but can we have trivia aswell but some people said that doesnt work because people can cancel other peoples questions.

There should be some time limit. Maybe if the question isn't answered in a minute or so, you can then skip it. Before that minute is up, you cannot skip it.

Get fucked no trivia. Chat just ends up getting spammed with stupid questions.

If trivia MUST be implemented then at least make a time limit of only one question able to be asked every 3 minutes

The trivia will be in a separate chat from the main one, so something like this:

I'm having trouble figuring out how this thing is coded so for now don't expect any progress. If anyone has the trivia bot that MK used then please let me know.

I tried to ask for some help from the main botteh chat and the moderators there were being big bags of douche, so we've got some flagging raids to do tomorrow.

Make the trivia chat on its own pages like the streams are
